Sunspells Transport us to a New World in Their New Single, “Kelper”

Sunspells is an incredibly exciting new band. With only three singles to their name, this is the perfect time to become a fan. Based in Hertfordshire, England, these four friends have come together to bring something fresh to the UK indie scene.

Inspired by bands like Queens of the Stone Age and Empire of the Sun, they deliver ninetys indie with a psychedelic modern twist. With each new single, the band cements its place as a force to be reckoned with. They are constantly evolving and creating a unique sound, meaning every single one has that Sunspell touch.

Like their second single, “Kelper” hits you with nostalgia. It has been transported from The Kooks and Strokes era of indie. Sunspells merges classic indie with 70s psychedelic rock. Creating a unique twist on 2 iconic genres.

“Kelper” was self-produced and recorded by the band at their studio in Hertfordshire. Inspired by the first planet that was discovered to be habitable, similar to Earth. This inspired Sunspells to create a song about leaving home to find somewhere new. Yet, no matter where you go you can’t escape the feeling of your first home and homesickness.

“Kelper”" takes on an intergalactic sound and transports the listener to a new world. This song truly absorbs you from the first listen and you are transported to the planet of ‘Kelper.” This song is different from previous releases but shows their determination not to be locked into a specific sound.

They are a band that isn’t afraid to take risks and experiment. With every single one, they are evolving. Sunspells are getting more confident in the studio and are owning their unique take on the genre. Through trial and experimentation, the band are bringing a fresh look to indie.
