Bon Iver Announces Brand New Album “SABLE faBLE”

Bon Iver has announced the release of his brand new album SABLE faBLE, scheduled for April 11th via Jagjaguwar. This brand new 12-track album follows the October 2024 EP Sable, and it includes collaborations with artists such as Danielle Haim, Dijon, and Flock of Dimes.

Co-produced by Justin Vernon and Jim E-Stack, SABLE faBLE was primarily recorded in Vernon’s studio in Wisconsin. The album’s concept came to life when, on February 22, 2022, Stack arrived in the studio with singer and songwriter Danielle Haim. It snowed for days, and Vernon and Haim collaborated on “If Only I Could Wait,” a duet with themes of self-discovery and the challenges of self-improvement.

While SABLE introduces us to themes of longing and discovery, SABLE faBLE will continue this journey exploring personal transformations, relationships, and the passage of time. This album is expected to feature a more polished sound with experimental roots, blending Bon Iver’s signature folk roots with electronic elements. SABLE fABLE will include the three tracks from Sable, EP—“Things Behind Things Behind Things,” “S P E Y S I D E,” and “Awards Season—along with nine new songs. One of the most anticipated tracks, “Everything is Peaceful Love,” is set to release as a single this Valentine’s Day alongside a music video directed by John Wilson. See the tracklist below:
